Dinner in rough, unusal and historic surroundings in Bodo.

Bremnes Fortress is one the few remaining fortresses built by the germans along the Norwegian coast during Second world war. Inside the small hill only 10 min by bus from the city of Bodo you find a hall used for storage of ammunition. The walls and roof in here are made of rock. Bremnes Fortress is a quite unusual place for dinners, concerts and celebrations.
When you are a guest at Bremnes Fortress you will meet a long table with white canvas, several candelabrums, 400 small candles spread around on the floor. Several heaters make the temperature comfortable, we still recommend you to wear some extra clothing; on your way to the table you will pass through a quite narrow, cold and long tunnel (lit only by candles).
You will be guided by Odd Horsdal (75 years old), a living legend in Bodo – he has got very good knowledge about Bodo and what happened there during the Second world war – he was then a little boy (Bodo was bombed in the beginning of the war). Besides he is known as an actor with a great sense of humour.
- Clothing
You should wear a little bit rough clothing; the temperature in some parts of the fortress is as low as + 6º C. To get to the entrance we will also need to walk som 10 - 20 min outdoor; please bring clothing suited for that; as it might be rainy and windy.
- Transportation
By bus from the city of Bodo. 10 min.
